Is sewage water good for my grape vine ( leakage )?
There's a small leakage on the side of my house that has dirty water running right to my grape vines. I am not sure if it's sewage water but its quite dirty. Would this affect my grape vine or is it just like compost ?
Thanks, i just planted the vine today. I'' move it tomorrow. It's just a leak from the side of my condo and on the other side is a restroom lol.
If the sewage was contained under ground, it would be o.k. for the grapes and provide nutrients. In the country, fruit trees are planted between the septic system leach lines to absorb the liquids and keep the system working properly.
The key is the sewage is under ground where it can't get on the food, or create a condition of disease and pathogens for humans. The ground over the leach lines is dry and solid to walk on.
Open sewers on top of the ground is where typhus, and other diseases breed. You need to immediately have this leak repaired.
