Inherited a lot of jewelry, how do I find out the value?
Have a ton of rings and pendants. Too many to bring to a jeweler for appraisals. I know I have rubies, emeralds, blue topaz and jade. Does anyone know where I would go to have someone buy these from me. Not interested in doing e-bay. Most of these rings and pendants are home shopping club purchases, if that helps. Will keep some, but there are so many I couldn't possibly wear them all in my lifetime.
Any help would be appreciated.
I know there are some places that recycle gold and stones and what not. It didn't cost me anything. I just gave them some scrap gold and I got about $20 out of it. They also told me how much some of my other jewelery was worth, even though I wasn't selling it to them. They told me what was costume jewelery and what was real, and it didn't cost me a thing. I'm sure if you search/look/ask around you'll find a little independently owned place like that. There's bound to be one around you. Hope that helps!
