A type of enamel that would be good for painting plastic? Specifically a Cell Phone Exterior?
I went out and got some foil backed, glass crystals to put on the front of my LG UX145BK and I want to try and paint the rim of the ear piece purple.
Here is what the phone looks like: http://cgi.ebay.com/LG-ORIGINAL-OEM-BILINGUAL-MANUAL-ENGLISH-SPANISH-UX145_W0QQitemZ280349068070QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item41461b4b26&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1|72%3A1205|240%3A1318|301%3A0|293%3A1|294%3A50
The Crystals cover the black surface and I want to paint the Grey Surface a glossy purple.
Is there any type of plastic specific enamel that would have a nice, glossy coat?
I don’t mind touching up later if it chips etc.
Thanks!
You can use a dab of nail color paint and seal it with nail polish. As for hobby paints, Testors or Tamiya can do the job quite nicely. Make sure you put a coat of clear gloss whichever paint you choose to make the paint job more durable. =)
